Got a better render when I let cinema 4d do the depth of field pass but it took 6 hours and still did not give me the depth of field effect I wanted but it looked crisper so I took that image into Photoshop to get the focus affect I wanted. I will have to learn more about the depth of field settings in 4d to get a quicker render.
